Welcome
Dear Prospective Goethe University Students:
Your future is not what it used to be!
The world has shrunk, and opportunities for Economics and Business Administration graduates have expanded. Whether you choose to work in research or in business, the terrain is international. Your colleagues and customers in foreign countries can be reached in seconds via email, internet calling, or teleconferencing. Data from a wide range of countries are now downloadable at no cost, allowing you (and your future competitors!) to benefit from international comparisons. International mobility of students, researchers, and professionals is encouraged and actively supported by the European Union and numerous funding agencies. Huge prospects are open to people able to operate across a spectrum of countries, in business and in research.
In such a world, can you afford to have all your education in one country?
Goethe University Frankfurt puts you in the geographic and financial center of Europe, in the only city worldwide that has two Central Banks (the European Central Bank and the Bundesbank), and one that is every bit as international as its airport!
Goethe is among the first German universities to launch separate Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Economics and Business Administration. As part of its recently launched internationalization campaign, Goethe actively seeks to attract foreign students and scholars, both as exchange visitors and as students enrolled in regular programs, at all levels. Our new graduate programs are offered entirely in English, and there is also an expanding array of undergraduate courses in English, giving you considerable flexibility to tailor your studies to your specific needs. And, of course, you can also choose from a wide range of courses in German (if you are fluent in the language) or study German in addition to your subject of interest.
This new website is designed to give you a preview of available opportunities and programs, and it will be continually updated and enhanced. We hope to welcome you soon to Frankfurt and to win you over as ambassadors of Goethe University to the rest of the world.
Best of luck in your endeavors,
Prof. Michael Haliassos
Dean for International Relations
Faculty of Economics and Business Administration
